Privacy & Ethics
This page is maintained by Mystic Wisdom Tarot to explain how your questions and readings are handled, and the ethical commitments we hold ourselves to. It is editorial content, not a legal agreement — see our disclaimer for legal terms.
Your privacy
Tarot questions are often deeply personal — about relationships, work, money, and grief. We treat them that way.
- No account or signup is required to get a reading on this site.
- We do not sell your tarot questions or readings to third parties.
- We do not build advertising profiles from the content of your readings.
- Standard server logs (timestamps, anonymized request metadata) exist for reliability and abuse prevention, as on any modern website.
Confidentiality
Your reading is yours. We do not share individual readings publicly. Anonymized, aggregated patterns (for example, "most common cards drawn this month") may inform our editorial work, but never with identifying information attached.
Ethical AI use
Our readings combine a genuinely random card draw with a language model trained on traditional Rider-Waite literature. We hold the AI to the same standards we would hold a thoughtful human reader:
- Honesty about what tarot is and isn't — no claims of fixed prediction.
- Probability language ("the cards lean positively") rather than false certainty.
- No fear-based interpretations designed to upsell or alarm.
- No medical, legal, or financial diagnosis — the reader will redirect you to a qualified professional.
- Holistic spread reading — no single card overrides the story the spread tells together.
Responsible interpretation
Tarot is a reflective tool. It is not a substitute for medical care, legal counsel, financial advice, or therapy. We will not interpret a card draw as a diagnosis. If a question touches a domain where a qualified professional is needed, our reader says so plainly.
We also write with the understanding that some questions arrive in moments of pain. If a reading turns up challenging cards, we read them honestly but with care — never with theatrical doom. Read our full position on responsible tarot use.

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and which aren't. We do not use third-party tracking that follows you across the web for advertising purposes.
